Business Manager - Associate в J.P. Morgan

Role Description:

The core role will be supporting the Russia & CIS Franchise with a particular focus on Banking businesses (Investment Banking, Global Corporate Bank, Treasury Services and Trade businesses) in the following capacity:

  • A trusted advisor to the Business regarding strategy, controls, people and financial performance
  • Optimising business performance and planning by driving strategic local initiatives
  • Key POC for front office and support functions to help identify, facilitate and achieve business objectives and opportunities
  • Help communicate the business strategy, performance and priorities. Ensure it considers market structure and regulatory changes·
  • Proactively and on request provide strategic analysis and reporting to facilitate business progression and delivery on franchise revenue plan
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate business risk. In conjunction with the Local Control Management function oversee that an effective control environment exists.
  • Ensure the business is aligned with key control and support functions (such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, HR, Audit, Technology, etc.)
  • Ensure the business is in compliance with LOB and corporate-wide objectives and policies
  • Build effective relationships and work closely with regional LOB F&BM colleagues.
  • Working closely with Senior Franchise Business manager on cross-LOB strategy execution and manage the cross LOB projects agenda for the franchise including new system implementations and new business initiatives

Summary of Core Responsibilities:

  • Driving business strategy and growth
    • Establish X-LOB business strategy for location and priorities in conjunction with the local Business Heads and regional LOB business management
    • Develop business cases and due diligence for strategic local initiatives
    • Own and ensure delivery of strategic business initiatives
  • Oversight of monthly franchise performance reporting
  • Oversight of monthly Banking LOB performance reporting, incl. Revenue, Expenses, SVA and market data analysis
  • Preparation of periodic and ad hoc business performance presentations/reviews
  • Maintenance of the deal pipeline, incl. forecasting exercises and reporting
  • Lead annual franchise business budget process
  • In conjunction with LOB business management ensure accuracy of franchise client coverage lists and client reference data across all systems
  • Provide assistance to front office with the client on-boarding processes (i.e. New client sponsorship, KYC)
  • Key POC for ensuring business adherence to end-to-end deal life-cycle controls
  • Partner with Banking Technology to support bankers in best practice usage of iMeet, iMemo, Intensity and Dealworks
  • Perform coordination of local tasks/deliverables for organisation of client and business events/offsites etc
  • Events tracking and budget oversight. T&E expenses review and exception reviews and pre-approvals
  • In conjunction with HR consolidate data to local management on Headcount analysis and reporting
  • Contribution to the EMEA/Global F&BM agenda (priorities, projects, events)

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related Business major
  • Understanding of products, systems and processes in Banking, Markets and Security Services especially those booked locally (lending, Trade Finance, Treasury Services, FX, securities on exchange/OTC trading, commodities, custody services)
  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements
  • Strong organisational, project and time management skills; flexibility, ability to dynamically prioritise requests and multi-task in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure.
  • Proactive with the ability and willingness to take initiatives
  • Strong analytical and numeric skills, excellent attention to detail. Able to analyse large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and influence others, across multiple disciplines and across levels of seniority
  • Ability to work well individually and partner effectively within a team
  • Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
  • A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls with a view to improvement
  • Strong MS Office and MS Project knowledge (Excel and PowerPoint in particular); VBA skills
  • Russian speaker, fluent English skillset
