What You Will Experience

The role encompasses the responsibility for the full Jack Daniel’s trademark equity in Russia with following areas of responsibility

Jack Daniel’s Brand Team Leadership and Development:

  • Be the brand’s champion and expert for the Russian market, providing guidance for Jack Daniel’s related themes to the Jack Daniel’s team as well as other functions in the organization
  • Leads and develops careers of a team consisting of currently 3 direct reports. Influence many other teams in Russian organisation and directly Advocacy team of National and local brand ambassadors
  • Be thought-leader and visionary thinker for Jack Daniel’s and beyond
  • Influence key stakeholders at local, regional and global level to ensure that Russian needs are being taken into account in Regional and Global development.
  • Collaborates with global/regional marketing and global/regional functional resources (e.g. legal, brand and business insights)
  • Key contact for responsibility, processes and organizational effectiveness (including topics with Supply chain and finance)

Short, mid- and long-term strategy and brand planning (1yr, 3yr, 10 year strategy)

  • Development of 10 year strategy for Jack Daniel’s Trademark aligned with global and local vision 2030
  • As part of 10 year strategy, development of a roadmap for new product development/ product roll-out strategy for Jack Daniel’s portfolio & proactively drives key implementation steps
  • Sets the agenda for the development of marketing objectives, strategies and resulting brand plans (1 and 3 year) for all JD brands excluding Super Premium
  • Defines occasion, target, competitive set & “right to win” for all expressions within Jack Daniel’s family of brands excl Super Premium
  • Demonstrates full understanding of underlying business, category, market, competitor and trade drivers affecting brand performance as basis for strategy development
  • Develops crisp (clear, results orientated, insightful, strategically aligned and prioritized) objectives and strategies for the overall Jack Daniel’s Trademark that are fully aligned to global/European strategies as well as to local business needs.
  • Ensures focused and prioritized approach and one annual brand plan across full Jack Daniel’s Trademark portfolio. Gain agreements and commitment by other functions.
  • Develops and gains agreement to annual targets and oversees best in class execution
  • Responsible for profitable growth on Jack Daniel’s Trademark - full P&L management and budget responsibility

Excellence in Brand Communication & Activation:

  • In cooperation with IMC Manager EA, sets the agenda and supervises overall communication and digital strategy & plan ensuring highest impact for Jack Daniel’s overall keeping balance between Trademark and single expressions. Manages Creative, Digital, activation and virtual shelf briefing across a range of agencies.
  • Closely monitors the market foreseeing opportunities for communication, proactively preparing capabilities and tools for upcoming possible changes (like e-com)
  • Ensures legal compliance of communications materials with BF Legal and digital compliance
  • Drives and oversees partnerships/co-operations with other brands and companies
  • Constantly reviews and evaluates marketing activities together with the team to ensure ROI, make course corrections where necessary and sharing best practice among team
  • Works with Insights at market & Region level to further develop consumer understanding and drilling for true consumer insights as well as setting up clear KPIs and an aligned reporting system.
  • Collaborates with European marketing and insights as well as local brand & business insights to develop testing plans for new products/line extensions
  • Provides leadership team with regular business / execution status reports
  • Works closely with Trade Marketing & sales to execute & evaluate activities in the market.

What You Bring to the Table

  • University Degree in the related field (Marketing, Psychology, Economiс, Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Decent years of successful track record in consumer marketing management – experience in premium food, beverage or image driven brands and/or luxury products
  • Excellent people management experience (either through experience of own team or as cross functional leader in projects)
  • Proven Business Acumen, understanding of Sales and Finance management
  • Full management responsibility of A&P budget and P&L
  • Management of a portfolio of brands or a wider range of products
  • Experience in working in international teams and settings
  • Experience in setting success metrics, post-evaluation & enhancing marketing programs
  • Fluent in Russian and English
