Top Accountabilities
Diageo reputation
- Contributes to development external communications strategy and executes effective practices for Eastern Europe to promote Diageo reputation and build strong influence among wide range of stakeholder groups; implements effective controls system to ensure compliance with external communication policy, company positions, and strategic messages. Plays key role in promoting 2030 Spirit of Progress strategy both internally and externally Helps to raise leadership’s capability in external and media communications to ensure consistency of company messages across various audiences. Acts as a trusted reputation advisor in the market. Acts as company spokesperson along with CRD and MD. Leverages communication across CR disciplines to maintain a fair and balanced treatment of alcohol in Eastern Europe. Develops comprehensive communication programmes to maximize the effect of Diageo Public Affairs and SD practices via range of PR tools. Manages risk assessment in the area of external communications, acts as a member of a crisis management team for media communications
Employee engagement and internal communications
- Drives employee engagement & internal communications strategy and execution to deliver strong performance culture based on Diageo values. Positions internal communications priorities within the broader business context Ensures the most effective communications solutions and channels are realized to drive employee awareness and engagement around key business priorities. Delivers transformational communications programmes in the market; Supports leadership team during organisational changes. Manages employee communications during crisis Acts as leadership advisor and support on all areas of employee engagement and internal communications. Helps to build up leadership communication capability & practices in the market Leads community involvement initiatives, maximizes effect of employee volunteering to drive engagement and Diageo external reputation
ABOUT YOU
- 3+ years experience in corporate communications and media management, change communications within global leaders
- Strong evidence of content development, speech writing, Execs communications programs;
- As an advantage we would consider understanding the communication implications of operating a listed business along with risks and opportunities in the alcohol market
- Extensive digital understanding and practice enable to promote internal digital platforms (social networks)
- Ability to build strong relations and demonstrate influence among the range of stakeholders including business leaders is key
- The person should possess and develop commercial acumen to understand market operations, what drives business performance and how the CR agenda supports this;
- Excellent English
