LAPHCF L5

LAPHCF stands for Link All Portals Homogeneous Control Field.

Amazed of the perfection of a HCF we strive to optimize and challenge ourself to more perfection.

Some months ago i started to investigate intel and the portals network around me to see what it takes to make such a HCF that all portals in it will be included in this field, so no empty or unlinked portals will be left alone envying the others around.

After few days of looking and planning it started to seem like a really challenging task.

After few weeks it already seemed like a very very hard task.

And after few months it went from a challenge to a give up and go back to microfielding task.

But then i remembered we have crosslinks. So if we have a classic HCF5 we'll need 43 portals in a specific constellation for a LAPHCF, but if we have a crosslinked hcf5, than we only need 7 portals. That makes finding the right portals like a joke compared to 43, but to pull it off we have to gather 6 agents to make 3x3 crosslinks and as we know crosslinks are not so easy to make and not garanteed to happen at once. Adding that i live in a rural area with only 3 active agents around, i left that thought alone. That was not my challenge to go after.

A few months later doing some intel research and planing for a different operation i accidentally found that a HCF4 from the plan is a real LAPHCF, so my heartbeat raised, i quickly deleted all other links/fields etc on the drawing and focused on this one. After few more weeks i found another LAPHCF4 that had a common side link with the previous one!!! The two not common vertices of these HCFs and one that is(common) formed a triangle with 9 portals in it. Splitting quickly their variations to find (1+) 4+2+2 that fits for a classicHCF3 + crosslinkHCF3 + crosslinkHCF3 = 3rd LAPHCF4 so it checks out for a L5 if we manage to make two different crosslinks.

Then quickly:

- make link plan,

- check required key count,

- go out - farm keys,

- change/optimize link order, check/simulate it

- go out again - farm keys

- separate the plan for two agents,

- change/optimize link order, simulate/test

- go out and farm moooooaaare keys

We set the date for 6th of nov. But on that date an opposite faction guest agent showed up few hours before we were supposed to start, so we decided to play safe and postpone for the next evening.

On the 7th of nov. 21:30 local time we started with the crosslinks, both successful at 1st attempt, went on with the plan and linked slowly to this beauty.
