Beginner Guide for the Craft in FFXIV

Which craft suits you best? Is it worth the leveling up of a crafting FFXIV class? Should you even bring all manufacturing and collecting arts to a maximum level of 60? And how does collecting and producing actually work? In this article, we will give you an overview of all the jobs.

FFXIV: What jobs are there?

In FFXIV, there are a total of eight craft trades that you can use to make goods and items, and three collectors' trades that provide you with the resources needed by the craftsmen. As for the warrior and mage classes, there are no restrictions on the professions. If you wish, you can learn and level up all crafts and collectors' trades with a single hero. Here is a shortlist of all professions of FFXIV:

Carpenter

Focuses on the processing of wood and produces instruments such as harps or tools such as workbenches. The carpenter can also build bows, scepters or staff. He also uses his knowledge to construct furniture or entire roofing.

Blacksmith

Processes iron and metals to make tools (such as saw, hammer, file) or weapons (swords or axes). The blacksmith also has one or the other decorative or furniture in the portfolio.

Plattner

If you want to make thick armor, the Plattner is the right choice. In addition to helmets, chest armor, and boots, he also produces wide shields, pots or round tables.

Goldsmith

Forehead ripeness, rings, necklaces, and fist weapons - this is the daily bread of a goldsmith. He also equips thaumaturges with cephalopods or anglers with special baits and also constructs screens, cupboards or lanterns.

Tanner

If your alter ego likes to dress in leather clothes, you will not miss the profession of the tanner. In addition to the armor, he also manufactures weapons for pugilists or furniture such as couches or carpets.

Weber

The magician classes prefer the arts of the weaver, who make trousers, robes, and bonnets from the different fabrics of Eorzea. His offer also includes wallpaper, armchairs or garden umbrellas.

Alchemist

Medicine such as antidote or eye drops is the alchemist's business, and he can also provide you with buff potions. Since he also produces grimoire, rods and ornamental plants, he has a wide range of goods.

Gourmet

Do you like to fortify yourself with a tasty marble croissant steak before a fight or do you want to invite your friends to a sugar-sweet Sachertorte? Then take up the profession of the gourmet - your Gilbeutel will thank you.

FFXIV: The Collector Classes

Miners

Blacksmiths, plumbers, and goldsmiths need ores, gems, crystals and fossils from the miners. Armed with a pickaxe, he works on special types of rock to bring the precious materials to light.

Gardener

The name can be misleading because a gardener not only raves in their own garden. He procures herbs and exotic wood species throughout Eorzea, only to sell them to carpenters, alchemists, weavers, and cooks to earn a big sum of Gil FFXIV.

Fishermen

Aside from catching fish all day long, the fishermen also hunt for seafood, shellfish or even pearls to supply cooks and goldsmiths
