We need a golang developer for our client's e-com project.

The client's business represents a large group of companies in Saudi Arabia:

They manage the biggest malls in Saudi Arabia (so they have huge offline traffic) — that's unique
They've been the biggest franchise of well-known brands (Zara, H&M, Mango, Massimo Dutti, Decathlon, Apple, etc.) for the last 25 years. They can onboard all of these brands with a full assortment — which is a unique capability of this company

The company is doubling down on digital channels and transforming itself from pure offline (Shopping Malls and Retailers) to an advanced digital platform that leverages offline capabilities.

PROCESSES

All product development processes are pretty advanced, and overall it feels like an advanced fast-moving international startup rather than a low-tech local company.

TEAM

Mixed and diverse team: Eastern Europeans, Western Europeans, Indians, Arabs.
Brilliant founding team: has a great team with a proven track record and experience in marketplaces (Lamoda, Lazada, Careem, Instacart).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, test, and deploy back-end components;
Collaborate closely with product managers, team members, and platform engineering teams to solve complex problems for world-class eCommerce applications;
Write, review, or provide feedback on technical design proposals;
Review code to ensure the integrity and quality of our code base;
Conduct coding interviews with potential engineering candidates;
Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and other Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products;
Deploy infrastructure to cloud environment (Google Cloud or AWS);
Identify and establish patterns and best practices.

MIN REQUIREMENTS

Solid coding skills with GoLang with 2+ yrs of professional experience;
Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks;
Understanding of basic database principles and optimization mechanisms;
Proficiency with SQL and PostgreSQL;
Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols;
Familiarity with Async/AMQP operations;
A strong desire to learn new things and continually improve yourself and those around you, with a “can do anything” mentality;
Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
