About World of Women
The entire collection of World of Women is the work of founder Yam Karkai using Procreate and Adobe Illustrator in her signature hand-drawn color style. Inspiration comes from her life experiences, multicultural background and the community she lives in.
Yam took 200 different female image elements to create 14 different skin tones, 23 facial features, 28 eye combinations, 25 different hairstyles, and more. World of Women Trading volume
Compared to NFT projects like Potatoz and Goblintown.wtf, World of Women has been relatively active in terms of daily trading volume over the last 90 days, basically trading on the OpenSea marketplace and managing to stay somewhat hot on the NFT market.
In March, World of Women launched the World of Women Galaxy program, launching a set of 22,222 NFTs with unique female images. World of Women holders can claim Galaxy NFTs for free for every World of Women NFT they own, paying only the Gas fee. As a result, trading volume reached $51.38 million within 2 days of its launch. After that, it resumed its normal daily trading volume.
In December 2021, World of Women pushed up its floor price with marketing such as airdrops and a headliner by Allison Harvard. Then there was the announcement in March of partnerships with fashion house The Fabricant and Jazwares (which launches high-end fashion dolls, toys and collectibles), once again peaking WoW’s floor price at 13 ETH.
After that, World of Women’s floor price dropped back to around 2 ETH without the stimulus of sustained activity.
The last 30 days trend shows that most users are trading World of Women from 2 to 5 ETH.
Summary
World of Women is the first collectibles project for women in the crypto industry, and is the first major collection to become popular on the back of a social cause.
