Monitoring
In this article I will share how monitoring works in the Mind Tracker app.
The main issue of today’s life is that we have to work. Well, of course, we’d love to have a great glass of wine somewhere at the seaside, but we have to switch on our computers every day and do a number of burning tasks that would usually be related to our scorching deadlines. This lovely picture is topped up with chaos, poorly organized processes, reckless colleagues/employees/bosses, etc. Let’s refer to it as routine, to simplify.
Main problem of the people who are up to their ears in routine is that we cannot rise above the moment and see what happens to us during the day. Most of us turn off the computer in the evening (around 9-ish), get up, and think, “wow, I am tired”. We open a bottle of white to relax a bit. Then we cannot go to sleep, because we have a bunch of anxious thoughts in our heads about past and future tasks.
3 problems associated with this working style:
- We cannot see how we lose productivity. Let’s say we work with 100% involvement during the morning, and in the afternoon we also try to deliver tasks, but our efficiency is around 40%, while it drops to 10% after 7 pm.
- We abuse and overload our brain immensely, while the troubling thoughts, we are powerless to ditch before bed, don’t let us sleep normally, and the brain cannot restore.
- We cannot realize our state: do I have optimal involvement right now? Or maybe I am stressed? Or anxious? Or even fatigued?
To put it simply, we burn our brain out with work, use our resources inefficiently, and fail to listen to our bodies. So, we drive an amazing racing car down a mirror-like motorway, put pedal to the metal, but forget to change the gear. The motor is roaring, but the speed remains the same. Instead of flying to the bright future, promotion at work or business growth, we drive straight to accumulated fatigue, constant stress, and, in the long run, to burnout and depression.
What to do:
You need to learn how to listen to yourself. As we learn how to feel our body in the gym, in life we should also feel our brain and what happens to it. A kind of an Apple Watch for the brain would do the trick perfectly.
Neiry Mind Tracker is exactly the gadget, and its first function (we will talk about all 3 of them in the articles) is MONITORING YOUR STATE.
You can measure your iAPF (Individual Alpha Peak Frequency), a genetically determined feature of the brain that is responsible for a person’s behavioral pattern. It is scientifically proven that iAPF in Hz determines your inclination to a certain social role. That is, you can see which types of tasks you do fit your personality. You will be able to stop demanding the impossible from yourself (choose the tasks that are made for you and delegate the rest).
We can show the brain cognitive load real-time, while you can see which tasks load you more (and make you feel tired) and which you can do automatically. It will allow you to optimize your day: for example, you know that mornings are more productive for you, so you plan all cognitively consuming tasks for the morning, and leave something that doesn’t require deep involvement for the evening.
You can check your state online and make breaks when you are tired. You will understand what part of the day offers you more involvement, and when you are generally tired. You will see stress or anxiety, learn to change for a state of rest/recharge. We will tell you when you get tired and offer to go grab a tea or do a short relaxing training.
Using Mind Tracker will eventually help you optimize your working day and learn how to listen to yourself and stop overloading your brain, rest at the right time and not accumulate fatigue.
