Russian oil and gas sector will need 1 million robots by 2030
Russia’s oil and gas sector could well need more than a million robots by 2030, the Energy Ministry said.
Introducing robots will help reduce deadlines for fuel and energy sites to come on stream by 40 %, cut costs for drilling and extraction from wells by 10-15 %.
The sum total of the effects of robotisation and digitalisation could reach more than 700 billion roubles per year.
The Energy Ministry plans to draw up an “Atlas of measures of government support to technological projects”. Details of support for robotisation and digitalisation will be presented to the government in the first quarter of 2021.
