Writers' Club by bo. Week 1.

Intro.

Hello ladies, I'm so excited to start this writing marathon with you.

Each of us will be working on a TV pilot. The goal of it is to get it done within 30 days by June 5. Why a TV pilot? Well..with the quarantine thing every big platform is always in need of refreshing and mesmerizing content. On top of that, working in the same format simultaneously allows to track each other’s progress and move faster towards the goal.

Let’s say if the script is finished in June and let’s say it is picked in August, most likely the production begins in a year after that. So the sooner something’s written, the better.

Get familiarized with my pilot collection, take a look at the structure, get inspired :

ASSIGNMENT. Week 1.

1. By the end of Tuesday, May 12th present your 14 pages script. In order to stay organized write at least 2 pages a day and you’ll be good.

Important: Save your script in PDF format and send it as an attachment to our chat in Telegram.

NOTES. Do not overthink too much and don’t try to make everything perfect while working on the first draft. Get things done. Period.

2. Set a clear goal of what you want to achieve by writing this script. Mention the platform you’d like to sell it to with a specific date of release. For instance:

My show “ Organic people “ will be released on Netflix in June 2020 and I’m going to be credited as a screenwriter (director, showrunner).

Be dreamy but realistic at the same time. Keep in mind that usually, it takes about a year to get the show produced once you’re chosen by the platform.
