The EPNS Projects brings the Power of web3notifs to Yam Finance!
YAM Finance, one of the largest community-owned DAOs in the DeFi space, has been at the forefront of launching some of the ecosystem’s most innovative products, such as Degenerative Finance, which features synthetic futures that can be used to hedge gas prices or speculate on assets like stocks and NFTs.
YAM users now rely on Discord bots to get notifications, such as when their collateral ratio changes (placing them in danger of liquidation) or when price moves occur. Such notifications can get lost in the shuffle and, while they meet current community needs, they can’t keep up with the expansion and don’t follow the Web3 ideal of full decentralization.
EPNS is pleased to announce that we will be collaborating with the YAM Finance team on the development of YAM’s communication and notifications layer. YAM is one of the most powerful communities and protocols in the DeFi market, and we’re excited to collaborate with the team to provide notifs to YAM users!
The engagement with the YAM team will also assist EPNS in better understanding the needs of new services in the market, as well as developing new features for the V1 of our protocol based on their important input.
Highlights of the Partnership
Creating a conduit for YAM Finance to alert their users of liquidation concerns will be part of the EPNS pilot program with them. Before their minimum collateral ratio is reached, users will be alerted.
Exploring and developing more critical notifications for a variety of YAM Ecosystem use cases, such as alerts on governance activities (snapshot and on-chain votes).
Working with the YAM Finance team to facilitate technical talks aimed at developing a scalable and strong decentralized communication layer for Web3.0 as a whole.
