Past Simple
Every time when we start the topic PAST SIMPLE or PRESENT PERFECT I see some scare in the eyes of my students. From my experience I also remember the time when I used to sit and try to remember all the forms of IRREGULAR forms;(
So let's revise this not very simple grammar form together.
When we form Past Simple we should remember that we deal with 2 forms of the verbs, they are Regular form and Irregular one.
To the Regular forms we add the suffix -ed (for example, to work - worked). The simple thing is that we don't need to pay attention to the singular and persons.
I worked We worked
You worked They worked
She/he/it worked
The other thing is with Irregular forms (we will practice them today).
When we form negative sentences we need to add didn't + Simple Verb (we didn't work).
And as for question we start the sentence with Did + Person + Simple Verb (Did you work yesterday?)
Markers: ... ago, yesterday, last (month, year, summer etc.), in ... (in 1996).
