The Skale network
Today the traditional blockchains are slow and costly. We can take the example of Ethereum and Bitcoin. Every node should validate and store the all information. If we add a new node to the blockchain, The node should download the full blockchain data first and it might take several days. The new node will improve security but not improve the speed. The skale takes an innovative approach to horizontal scaling. The skale network is build to run on 1000 nodes. When nodes grow in skale network, It will increase speed, security, and capacity. This is possible due to a game-changer architecture, In which different decentralized applications use independent node subsets. Thousands of such subsets run thousands of decentralized applications in parallel.
The skale network has high-throughout and low-latency. We can call it an ethereum interoperable elastic blockchain network. The skale provides a decentralized, configurable network of on-demand blockchains that support high transaction per second, cost-effective, and less time-consuming transactions enabled with storage capabilities.
Every PoS(proof of stake) sidechain is highly configurable, comprised of nodes that stake SKL tokens on the Ethereum mainnet. The consensus mechanism is asynchronous Byzantine fault-tolerant protocol.
The main aim is to reduce the gas fee as we can seeing that sometimes we have to spend hundreds of bucks for making a transaction in the Ethereum blockchain. If It will provide Ethereum-as-a-Service to millions of people. It's also EVM-compatible.
The virtualized subnodes are operating the side-chains. Virtualized subnodes are selected from a subset of nodes in the network. These are highly configurable.
The customer can choose their parent blockchain, chain size, consensus protocol, virtualized subnode shuffling frequency and VM.
The sidechain using BLS signatures as the consensus model and it's allowing for interchain messaging.
The SKALE Network consists of the skale manager which is located on ethereum and many permissionless skale Nodes. This manager exists is a gatekeeper to all other smart contracts in the skale network. This contract manages the node creation/deletion and sidechain creation/deletion.
As a security measure, developers are having an option of enabling virtualized subnode shuffling.
The sidechains will be engaged in block creation and commitment through an asynchronous, leaderless, and provably secure protocol.
If more than two-thirds of the total virtualized subnode validator is online, The blockchain will be up and running. The nodes will continue creating and committing new blocks to the chain.
