Get initial batch of Rizon tokens for mainnet validator 💰💰💰

If you ever tried to run a mainnet validator, you'll face the same problem as I did. Where to buy ATOLO having USDT on your wallet and how to delegate those tokens to your own validator or any other preferable validator to make the tokens working for you.

BUYING

I know it sounds easier than it actually is. If you take a look at the exchanges there're not a lot of options to choose from. The one you need is LBank — interface is better than the others and what's more important it supports withdrawal across Rizon network and no KYC required. AscendEX on the other hand haven't supported withdraws for a while, hence you were able to buy the tokens, but were not able to withdraw them.

1. Register new account on LBank.

2. Get TRC20 USDT adress to deposit.

Why do we choose TRC20 type of the network? Because the commission is lower than in other networks. In order to get the address to deposit go to Wallet, search for USDT asset and click on the Deposit link, choose TRC20 network and save the address, we'll use it later on. In my case the address looks like:

TA9vEiak4Di3Eq1YUoe1eANp9QqYXhwn4k

3. Make deposit to the saved TRC20 address.

I'll use Binance for this purpose. Make sure the network is set to TRC20 and the address is the one we saved previously.

4. Buy ATOLO

It might take few minutes until you see USDT on the exchange account. Once you see it, let's get the tokens. Go to Markets tab, search for ATOLO/USDT pair and click on the trade icon, choose to buy from market option, type the amount of USDT you wish to buy for and then click on BUY ATOLO.

Once the order is succeeded. Go to wallet and verify that balance of the ATOLO has been changed.

DELEGATING

1. Send the tokens to your validator wallet

Login to your rizon server and use the following command to get the wallet address.

# Get wallet address
$ rizond keys list

# OUTPUT EXAMPLE, save the address
- name: wallet
  type: local
  address: rizon1py7dgk8tdx09jevad6rfpraurctuykmawwjr0n
  pubkey: rizonpub1addwnpepqthsay6vfew28905d8w9dgngda70utkrd5gc9f9rhu5u89k3jj0ejr0l6h0
  mnemonic: ""
  threshold: 0
  pubkeys: []

Verify the wallet balance before sending any tokens.

# Check wallet balance
$ rizond q bank balances <YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS>

# OUTPUT EXAMPLE
balances:
- amount: "250202400"
  denom: uatolo
pagination:
  next_key: null
  total: "0"

Now copy the address and go back to the exchange, click on the Withdraw link next to ATOLO, paste the address and choose the amount of ATOLO to transfer. Double check the information and confirm the transaction.

2. Make self delegation

Wait for a few minutes and verify the balance once again.

# Check wallet balance once again
$ rizond q bank balances <YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS>

# OUTPUT EXAMPLE
balances:
- amount: "63591200"
  denom: uatolo
pagination:
  next_key: null
  total: "0"

Now you can see that balance is updated, let's make self delegation.

# Get key name
$ rizond keys list

# OUTPUT EXAMPLE, save the name
- name: wallet
  type: local

# Get valoper address
$ rizond keys show <YOUR_KEY_NAME> --bech val -a

# OUTPUT EXAMPLE, save valoper address
rizonvaloper1py7dgk8tdx09jevad6rfpraurctuykmaa2szdr

# Delegate 630 ATOLO
$ rizond tx staking delegate <YOUR_VALOPER_ADDRESS> 630000000uatolo \
--chain-id titan-1 --from <YOUR_KEY_NAME> --gas auto --fees 1000uatolo -y

Open mintscan, find you validator and make sure the tokens appeared.

CONCLUSION

Congrats! You have successfully bought Rizon tokens from the market and delegated them to your own validator.
