It has been noted that about 50 million Americans including children’s have a history of allergies, according to the centers for disease control and prevention. Let’s see some “Common allergies found in American children”.
So don’t think that your child is alone who is having a history of allergy. No parent wants their child to suffer from any disease condition. Yet some unfavourable condition arises which make your child susceptible to an allergic condition. This can be seen in any child but is more commonly seen in those children who have a family history of allergies.

According to centers for disease control and prevention, the prevalence in American children has increased more for skin and food allergies. This increased prevalence varies in age. It was seen that the younger children are more susceptible to have skin allergies while in older children respiratory allergies are more seen.

Dust mite:-
These are microscopic insects and are a main allergic component of the house dust. They are present year-round and are present in bedding, carpets, and upholstery.
Pollens:-
They are major causes of allergies and allergies due to pollen is called hay fever or rose fever. Pollens are the tiny particles released in the air from trees, weeds, and grasses to fertilize other plants. Pollen allergies are seasonal and pollen counts are mostly high in the morning in warm, dry and breezy days while the count decreases when the weather gets chilly or wet.
Molds:-
They are fungi which grow both indoors and outdoors where they get favourable condition to grow. They are mostly seen in a warm and moist area. Molds are also seasonal but few molds grow year around especially indoors.
Pet allergies:-
This allergy is caused by the pet dander which are tiny flakes of shed skin and by animal saliva. When the pet licks themselves few drops of their saliva get on the fur which gets dried and the particles become airborne and get attached to the fabrics of the house. Some people also allergic to pet urine when the area is not cleaned properly.
Cockroaches:-
In inner cities, they play a major role in household infection. People living in the building infested with cockroaches are more susceptible to asthma.

There are about two million children in America are affected by allergens due to food. These food items are:-
- Cow’s milk or cow’s milk protein
- Eggs
- Fish or shellfish
- Peanuts
- Tree nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, cashews)

- Wheat
