TOP HOLDER WALLET SCREENER
How the screener works
The bot sends notifications for wallets of top holders across all coins available on Binance Futures.
Why track holders
Most of these wallets belong to the team or parties associated with it — market makers, funds, etc. In addition, there are whales who hold large amounts of tokens and may start taking profits at some point.
In any case, the larger the supply held by a wallet, the greater the potential impact if that holder starts selling their tokens. These are exactly the wallets we selected across all coins listed on Binance Futures.
Alert types
There are 2 types of alerts in total:
Wallet Transacrtions
It shows transactions that are incoming to and outgoing from the tracked wallets.
If the funds are sent to an exchange, it’s worth taking a closer look at the chart and possibly finding a short entry.
If they are sent to a third-party wallet, that wallet can be found in Arkham and added to alerts. Often, before funds go to an exchange, they are first transferred to an intermediary wallet.
Hourly & Daily Summary
Hourly and daily summaries help avoid getting lost in large volumes of transactions and make it clear what is worth paying attention to.
The TXs column shows the number of transactions to or from the tracked wallets, +IN represents the incoming volume of funds to the tracked wallets, and -OUT represents the outgoing outflow of funds.
For short strategies, we are specifically interested in the outgoing outflow of funds. And it is very important to track where exactly these transactions are going: to exchanges or to other wallets.
Cases
On January 14, our screener detected large $ONDO transfers to exchanges from major holders.
After the accumulation of such large transfers, token selling gradually began.
On-chain movements can be a precursor to price movements on exchanges. That’s why you should use the screener to identify such situations.
What to pay attention to in alerts
1. Token market capitalization
The smaller the market cap, the less capital is required to move the price. For example, a $1M transaction and sale in ETH will not create any meaningful price pressure, but for a low-cap token this can be significant and will be reflected on the chart.
Market cap is not shown in the alerts, but you can easily find it yourself on other websites.
If the market is trending up and liquidity is flowing in, potential sell pressure may be absorbed due to overall market correlation, making shorting a bad idea. In the opposite market conditions, however, it can be a reasonable strategy.
Is there a valid short setup? Or is the chart already at local lows?
