Research Assistant / Research Associate (strategic management & entrepreneurship) / Бизнес-школа СКОЛКОВО

Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO is seeking to recruit a Research Assistant (master’s degree or pre-doctoral) or Research Associate (post-doctoral) to conduct research on strategic management and strategic entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will work as a part of a small team on research projects targeted for publication in the world’s leading academic business journals. Research topics include but are not limited to strategic management and strategic entrepreneurship in the context of digital economy (incl. business model innovation, non-market strategy, digital transformation, managerial cognition), strategic tools for decision-making under uncertainty (incl. trend management and innovation management.)

Primary responsibility: research (up to 80-90% of the time)

  • Contribute to and potentially co-author scholarly publications targeting top academic journals;
  • Conduct literature reviews;
  • Be involved in the research grant application process and preparing granting/funding progress reports.

Secondary responsibility: teaching assistance (envisioned ~10-20% of the time)

  • Assist with preparing teaching materials;
  • Assist with providing feedback on students’ homework and assessments;
  • Search for relevant teaching cases in international online case collections and public media.

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Master’s degree (Research Assistant) or PhD degree (Research Associate) majoring in management, business, or economics;
  • Strong grasp of management theories and qualitative research methods;
  • Taking part in student research paper competitions will be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of econometric methods or structural equation modelling (desirable);
  • Proven evidence of academic writing skills;
  • Research experience related to the broad domain of strategic management will be a strong advantage;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
  • Good organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (C1-C2)
