Research Assistant / Research Associate (international business studies) / Бизнес-школа СКОЛКОВО

Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO is seeking to recruit a Research Assistant (master’s degree or pre-doctoral) or Research Associate (post-doctoral) to conduct research on international business, strategic management, and global leadership. The successful candidate will work as a part of a small team on research projects targeted for publication in the world’s leading business academic journals. Research topics include but are not limited to the effects of multiculturalism and multilingualism, microfoundations of performance, critical studies of international business.

Primary responsibility: research (up to 80-90% of the time)

  • Contribute to ongoing research projects at various stages (research design, data collection, data analysis, writeup and publications process);
  • Conduct literature reviews;
  • Contribute to and potentially co-author scholarly publications targeting top academic journals;
  • Be involved in the research grant application process and preparing granting/funding progress reports;

Secondary responsibility: teaching assistance (envisioned ~10-20% of the time)

  • Prepare teaching materials, translate, proof-read / proof-solve, etc.;
  • Grade students’ homework and provide other feedback on students’ work;
  • Conduct tutorials, workshops and assist with students’ work (e.g., help implement projects)

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Master’s degree (Research Assistant) or PhD degree (Research Associate) majoring in management, business, or economics;
  • Strong grasp of management theories and research methods (quantitative and qualitative);
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis software (Stata, R) will be an advantage;
  • Research experience related to the field of management or international business will be a strong advantage;
  • Ability to contribute to the preparation of successful submissions to leading academic journals;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
  • Good organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (C1-C2).
