East Capital Group is looking for an intern
East Capital Group is an independent asset management group that comprises several strategies and specialisations to offer active management solutions in equities, bonds and real estate assets. Our managers work within a clear ESG framework, while also drawing on the group's scale and overall strengths.
Founded in Sweden in 1997 and with offices in Stockholm, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Moscow, Oslo and Tallinn, East Capital Group manages a total of EUR 5.3 billion for a broad range of international investors including leading institutions, companies and private individuals.
We have been investing in Russia for 23 years and have a dedicated and highly experienced investment team working out of our office in the center of Moscow.
We are looking for a dedicated and driven intern to assist our research efforts on our Russian and CIS public equity strategies. You will get hands on experience and insights into institutional portfolio management, where your daily work will include but not be limited to performing analysis (including on ESG) and research, compiling data, building models and preparing presentations. You will cooperate broadly and connect with various departments and stakeholders within our organization and the investment team in particular. The role will be interesting and includes a variety of tasks.
As a successful candidate you will have a genuine interest in financial markets and asset management, as well as some understanding of material sustainability matters.
- Work experience not a must
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance/Economy/Maths
- Strong academic results, with proven research abilities
- Strong quantitative and data analytical skills
- Solid work ethic
- Ambitious, motivated and willing to learn
- Detail oriented, organized and meticulous
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in English, additional languages are a plus
- Proactive self-starter with desire to learn, grow, and be challenged
- Familiar with financial tools and databases is a plus (Bloomberg….)
- Good knowledge in using the Office package and in particular good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
You will work in a true international environment, where you will have colleagues representing 22 different nationalities.
