General History

The history of the Middle Ages covers ten centuries - from the middle of 5 to the second half of the 15th century. During this time, humanity made the transition from antiquity to new time. The main feature of the Middle Ages is the dominance of the feudal system.

It had happened and was installed at different times. But since in Europe it began to develop after the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476, this time is considered the beginning of the Middle Ages. The end of the Middle Ages is considered to be the beginning of geographical discoveries.
