ZetaChain | Honest Testnet Review
The article is addressed to those who are thinking of starting to pass the testnet, as well as to the project team, solely out of good intentions for the benefit of the project's success.
ZetaChain is the world's first blockchain with an all-in-one solution. In essence, this is an Omnichain solution, that is, it combines solutions for all networks and their levels.
Also ZetaChain has created the possibility for multi-chain swaps (swap). Now swaps in different networks can be made in one click without the use of bridges (bridge), extra expenses for commissions (fee) and gas (gas). This decision will significantly speed up exchanges and seriously reduce their cost. It will also help to remove the "wrap", for example, when swapping ETH and BTC.
A public testnet is now open on ZetaChain. Testnet link https://labs.zetachain.com/get-zeta
The essence of the testnet is mainly swaps between networks and earning ZETA points for them. Below is a screenshot from the off. site with possible rewards in points.
Test tokens can be requested in the Discord thread https://discord.com/channels/858516330432299008/922357353423175680 via the command - zeta faucet drip "Metamask address"
Or on the site itself https://labs.zetachain.com/ru-RU/get-zeta by connecting Twitter and metamask
You need to add test networks Polygon, BSC (Through which, by the way, it’s been a month already, it’s impossible to exchange anything. I don’t know when it will be fixed, I have already written about this jamb to developers more than once), Goerli, ZETA. You can also add BTC, but you need a different wallet for the swap. I never figured out how to swap BTC, because there is no normal manual on the off site. It's easier to skip than to dance with tambourines.
I won’t tell you how to add test networks, because I see no reason to duplicate this information on the network in bulk.
On the "Faucet" - "Faucet" pages, there is a drop-down window at the bottom where you can find BTC faucets, as well as add test tokens to Metamask.
Personally, I managed to make a swap only once and request test tokens. The faucet hasn't been working for 2 weeks now. It may not work only for me, but I can’t figure it out, I’ll tell you why below.
You can also look for bugs. For this, they promise to charge from 10,000 Zeta for one error report. Personally, I've sent 5 responses and haven't received any points for it yet. Moreover, the team never fixed the bugs they found. For me, this is a very strange approach. Such a strong and necessary project, and the work is being carried out with a slip of the sleeves.
You can report bugs in the Discord thread via the Google form at https://discord.com/channels/858516330432299008/1014270346372845568
Again with regards to the work of the team. On the off site, even the Discord branches are incorrectly indicated for sending reports.
In addition, to drive in a circle, once the requested tokens will not come out. Because swap only works in one direction. For example, they sent from Goerli to Polygon, there is no way back. Therefore, a working "crane" is simply necessary !!!
The project has a page with tasks for Crew3 (link https://crew3.xyz/c/zetachain/invite/kn_pt7LNaGQmo6qiOkYte )
Can be done by leveling up. Perhaps something will be given for this later.
The project is cool, necessary, unique. I would love to use it every day. However, it is not clear why to make a non-working testnet, attract people to it and not edit anything. Why promise rewards for finding bugs and end up with nothing for it? With this approach, the motivation of testers will drop instantly.
I really hope that the team will read this article and show at least some kind of reaction and feedback.
I advise everyone else to follow the project and not to miss it. To do or not testnet, everyone decides for himself. In any case, it is very simple and does not require any costs, and therefore it is definitely worth trying at least once. DYOR
