What is topographic survey?

In simple words, a topographic plan is a drawing drawn up with precise reference to a coordinate system for a specific area. It displays the current position of all objects, starting with the relief, ending with communications and plants.

The drawing itself is drawn up after carrying out such a type of geodetic work as topographic survey. This document is necessary to assess the current state of the territory.

The construction of new facilities is not the only reason for ordering topographic works. It will be needed both for landscaping (implementation of landscape solutions), and for calculating earthworks, and when planning utilities (for example, if it is necessary to carry out electrical networks, gas, heating networks, water supply, etc.).

The process of topographic survey of a land plot can be divided into the following stages:

At the first stage, a technical assignment is drawn up, an agreement is signed for the production of a topographic plan

The second stage is called the field stage, since a specialist travels to the site to conduct a geodetic survey or topographic survey.

The next stage is office processing of the shooting in a special program.

As a result, a topographic plan is prepared and sent to the client in paper form, on CD-ROM or by e-mail.
