A (Alkali) - What do you call your style?
- F (frenetikvoid) - I don't really call my work a certain type of style. It clearly takes things from surrealism because I work with the unconscious and try to free first thing that comes to mind. But I hope it changes quickly, I'd like my work to keep transforming and going forward into new places. If anything, I'd prefer not to know where or how, thats the whole point.
A - What inspires you?
- F - My life. I'm a reserved guy that builds safe worlds and communities around myself. I definitely talk about what I feel and what I know, not further: at least not for me. Its difficult for me to put myself into context as I've always felt very detached, but that's slowly changing as I open myself into broader caverns and social boundaries.
A - Which kind of software you use?
- F - 3ds max mainly and then various others depending on what I'm looking for in that precise moment.
A - How much you earn ?
- F - I'm good. Luckily don't have to worry so much about that.
A - If you got an opportunity to change something in your past, what would it be and why?
- F - Everything and nothing. Always oscillating in both extremes. I'm very happy with who I am and all my story, that's why I like to express it.
A - Whats going to be next viral thing in design.
- F - I really hope I don't see it coming. I like surprises. Prefer not to think about it. But I guess we're always closer to simulating our reality as it is, so...
A - Your favorite artists
- F - My cat or divine entities.
A - If you got to a desert island what 3 canvas would you take with you
- F - All blank for sure.
A - Have you ever tried make clay sculptures?
- F - No! I'd definitely like to try it out. Have this fantasy of making real sized frenetik sculptures. Hope my future self holds the energy for that.
A - Your favorite movie ever
- F - I like the honesty behind Eyes Wide Shut. But yhea thats now.. it changes every day luckily. The visual poetry of The Tree of Life. Slow dense visually canonically somehow beautiful. Kinda classic. But I also like movies that make me feel played: not seen lots of em lately but the ending of Berserk (anime serie) was good.
A - Have you ever tried to 3d print your artworks?
- F - Yep, have a few small pieces. Ill make bigger ones eventually.
A - Which shaders and materials do you use?
- F - I reuse everything I use from the last render. Things change, but I need water. Some wood and rock maps textures are always there at hand also.
A - Your artworks remind me about Salvador Dali, does it mean you are 3d surrealism artists?
- F - I guess a part of me is now, I hope to change and stand close to other ports as well. I'd never define myself as only that.
A - Do you prefer active lifestyle, or you prefer passive lifestyle?
- F - I prefer active. I'm not achieving the amount of physical activity I crave for. My mind got better of me these past years. Hope I focus on my whole body and structure to achieve a similar level of energy as my head haha.
A - What did you dream of becoming in childhood?
- F - I don't remember. Myself.
A - Are you satisfied with what you become, or is this just the beginning?
- F - Never satisfied. Always more. Desire is what drives me. I hope I die satisfied though, that's what I'm working for.
