On December 3 of this year, the Russian Embassy in Madagascar hosted a country conference of organizations of Russian compatriots, which was attended by 31 representatives.

Deputy Head of the diplomatic Mission A.S.Buryak greeted the audience on behalf of Ambassador A.V.Andreev and Director of the Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry for Work with Compatriots Abroad A.B.Nurizade, confirmed the readiness of the Embassy for the closest cooperation. He told about the reasons why Russia is forced to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine today. He urged to critically comprehend the information background developing in Madagascar, which is characterized by the dominance of Western anti-Russian propaganda in the media.

The Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in Madagascar, M.V.Vorobyova, made a report on the activities carried out during the reporting period and work plans for the next year.

Following the results of the conference, the updated composition of the CSRC was approved, the Chairman of which was re-elected M.V.Vorobyova. It was also decided to form a working group that will prepare an action plan for the next year, as well as adjust the organizational documents of the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots.
