PREMIERE 'Arch' TMPST
Asfandyar Khan, known as TMPST, is a Pakistani electronic music Producer, DJ and an influential mainstay of Pakistan's independent electronic and rave music scene.
After some strong releases on labels such as Otomo Trax, Divine Intervention, Cape Monze Records and Ovelha Trax, he delivers here a four-track EP that looks to channel the raw, unpolished, chaotic spirit of electro-punk; gritty, high-voltage, and like a punch to the gut. Inspired by the energy and chaos of acts like Locked Club and Boys Noize, it pushes distorted textures, unflinchingly noisy atmospheres, and abrasive rhythms directly to the front.
With a love of a full-spectrum, wall-of-sound approach, the EP is full of noisy basslines, distorted kicks, razor sharp percussion and mangled vocal chops picked straight from the Pakistani meme-o-sphere.
