Premiering 'Open Area' by Tout Casser taken from 'Miracle Fish' EP out on 3rd July via Brainwaves
Tout Casser is one of the founding members of the Geneva-based, penta-cephalic collective and label Brainwaves. ChatGPT would give us a description of him saying that he is influenced by a wide variety of genres and his music is eclectic and spontaneous, but to tell you that his unique sources of influence are a Scottish musical duo and the exploration of electro-magnetic fields would be closer to the truth. The bell-like sounds in Open Area introduce a more percussion-heavy track. Once again we are accompanied by slightly perceptible fractions of conversation, stolen away among the complexity of the rhythmic elements and the exquisitely discrete bass. The entire Miracle Fish EP is very stripped down, with low BPMs and deep and heavy bass elements, touching a slightly darker side to Tout Casser’s character that we have yet to discover.
