Islyz is a graphic and type designer, as well as a calligrapher, who creates the album covers for Bardouin Music. When it comes to music, she mainly draws inspiration from the UK scene, as seen in her recent releases on Tsunami Recordings, Blue Night Jungle, Le Ciel, and Reptilian Business Records. Her sets offer a diverse mix of post-club and deconstructed music, catchy breaks, and laid-back rhythms, as well as introspective tunes with darker and more industrial sounds.
For its tenth release, 909 Connection is back with a 5-track EP based on an original concept. Taking Swooh's track Artificial Limbo as a starting point, 4 producers followed one another, each appropriating elements from the previous artist to create a cascade of remixes.
After an ambient intro Patriarchal Himbo, produced by Islyz, builds to a powerful dancehall rhythm, culminating in a breakcore/IDM climax.
