1 year after releasing his 5th long-play 'True, Necessary, Kind' Alexander Lay-Far prepared a conceptual follow-up - a compilation of remixes and reinterpretations from young underground heroes, new exciting talents as well as some well-seasoned producers.
Pursuing the original album’s philosophy, in the autumn of 2023 Lay-Far announced an open remix competition to share the inspiration spark, ignite the intercultural dialogue and officially release the top 3 reworks as a result. However it didn’t go according to the plan! Submissions poured in from Germany, Spain, The UK, USA, Russia, Ireland, Indonesia, South Africa, etc., exceeding the expectations of quantity and most importantly quality! After taking quite some time to review all the remixes - the best of the best were selected.
And there you have it - a vivid yet comprehensive compilation of 15 high-quality remixes by the likes of Ant To Be, Super JV, Marco Lazovic, Bleep, Hermanito, Anderdog, Fluchtlink, Jetelmen, etc., ranging from Street Soul to Jungle, Deep and Afro House, UK Bass, Techno, Intelligent D’N’B, Breakbeat and Electro.
