This is a compilation that samples content from social networks to tell a story about the power of hope, which persists despite human loneliness, fear, and vulnerability. Each composition uses samples from audio and video materials that once allowed me to stop mindlessly scrolling through the feed and feel inspired.
Snake - ” this track is about my feeling of a new, often hungry and cold Moscow freedom. The majority of the composition is made from the iconic track "Snake Eyes" by Feint.” erop is a DJ, music producer, and editor of the media outlet ethereal grooves, based in Moscow. In his practice, he works with samples from the web environment, viewing it as a form of virtual field recording.
His compositions have been aired on Marseille's Ola Radio, included in a mix by Flaty for Los Angeles-based radio Dublab, and were also released on a compilation by FAUX ex. Kruzhok Moscow Radio.
