A preaching center has opened in Zhukovsky, Russia!

From 2021 to 2022, devotees from the city of Zhukovsky, a neighboring town with Ramenskoye in the Moscow region, went from meetings at a well-wisher's apartment to the opening of a local preaching center!

Being natives of the Ramenskoye Yatra and still serving in it, the devotees felt that it would be great to gather more often in the nearby territory in their city. In order to communicate more with the devotees and start preaching in Zhukovsky, it was decided to conduct home programs. On November 23, 2021, they gathered for the first time as two married couples and with Navakishor Das (the author of the story).

At some point, the owner of the apartment regretfully admitted that he would not be able to gather anymore. And the devotees were faced with the question: "What's next?" And so a rather bold idea was born - to open your own preaching center (and in the future a temple) in Zhukovsky! The Rhino hunt has begun))

A few months later, they discovered that many Zhukovsky devotees heroically attend programs in other cities and also need such a center. It was very difficult or even impossible for family people with children to regularly get out to the Ramenskoye Temple. This also inspired them to take up the implementation of this idea.

Blessed by the Ramenskoye Yatra and determined, the devotees rented a basement room in their city. The ground floor is most suitable for singing, dancing and playing musical instruments.

Gradually, the room was rebuilt. Alexander Nyashin is a jack-of-all-trades, helped to organize repairs: linoleum was laid, a fourth wall was built, walls and ceiling were put in order, a door was inserted.

Over time, the center began to acquire comfort, an altar, furniture, paintings. Mataji Evgenia and Svetlana are engaged in design, decorate the room with their own hands. Every week something is added, everyone contributes some part of their inspiration.

Today, devotees hold nama-hattas in the new premises (on Saturdays), Pavitra Madhava das and Navakishor das give lectures on the scriptures, Uchchhalita devi dasi teaches a course on archana and purity standards, Alexander Markov organizes a men's club. And on June 4, the Deities Sri Sri Nitai Mayapurananda from Ramenskoye will come to visit them, on the occasion of which a Kirtan-mela will be held! Friends, relatives, and the owner of the very first apartment began to come to the new center (he already reads 4 circles and came out on 4 regulatory principles)!

One of the main joyful events in the nascent Zhukovsky Yatra was the holding of morning programs: joint mangala-arati, joint japa-meditation, lectures on Srimad-Bhagavatam. Devotees share that the current situation gives a lot of spiritual strength and raises motivation!

Prasad is prepared at home and brought to the program. After the barbecue-arati, everyone has breakfast together.

In the near future, devotees will register a religious group in Zhukovsky so that they can legally distribute Srila Prabhupada's books and engage in more active preaching in their city.
