What is a Visa rebate card?

A Visa rebate card is a new type of loyalty certificate that offers a discount from your purchase when using your Visa card. This offer does not apply to existing cards, and is only available on new Visa cards.

How will my transaction be paid for when using a Visa rebate card?

The exact redemption will vary depending on the redemption method. The discount will not be applied directly to the transaction (e.g. your next bill), but will be applied to your next bill via VISA. When the cardmember has used up the cardholder discount, any remaining Visa rebate credits will then be applied to the cardmember bill using the card's own rebate value (i.e. on your next bill). The current VISA rebate credit value may also vary in cases where a fee is charged to the cardmember.

You also want to have some money set aside before the Ipass is created as well, for the money that will go to the credit card company, but the money that will go directly into the Ipass account is your money.

Make sure that you're only putting in enough money to cover the first year of the account.

I also want to note that the average account balance for a participant is $717. This means there are a lot of people with much lower balances than that.

It's all a bit counterintuitive sometimes to think about how much you should put in, and I think it shows that there's a lot of room for improvement for the average participant.
