Pandemia

Quarantine is messing with our brains indeed-

We're feeling trapped, mad and tired of it,

You cry out of pity to waste your life like this,

And all you want is to escape and run with a bliss…

But have you ever thought of people who got it worse?

Of those right now who have their life almost cursed

Like a tired nurse who’s risking her health at first

To save your ass that wants to go outside of course

All we gotta do is stay at home and patiently wait.

You’re lucky if you have food on your table and your husband is great,

You’re lucky if your kid is all healthy and learns with your help,

Imagine those who’s got it worse at this time of hell.

Imagine there’s a sick kid and his mother is helpless;

The doctor is also quarantined and it feels like it’s endless.

Imagine a son of a dying mother who can’t get to the city;

She dies and only then he’s allowed to see her, out of pity.

Imagine abusive parents and their kids who can’t leave,

Their only getaway was school and a friend named Steve,

But now they're stuck with an alcoholic mother or a violent dad,

So now the only place to escape is under his bed.

Come on, we all know it’s pretty shitty out there, if you think.

Quarantine is a blessing but not for all, let it sink.

You’re crying out of boredom just cause you’re blessed,

But stay compassionate for those who are actually stressed.

And let’s all hope that it will pass with a blink of an eye,

Because this world needs a change and a clear blue sky,

For that we have to be grateful, for all the good in our life,

And help the ones who struggle the most with poverty rife.
