Mirziyoyev spoke with Erdogan
Today, on August 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Rajab Tayyip Erdogan. This was reported by the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that during the dialogue, the issues of further strengthening of large-scale strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey and expansion of multilateral cooperation were considered.
It is noted with satisfaction that mutual relations and productive exchanges continue at a high pace in accordance with high-level agreements.
While focusing on regional issues, the leaders of the two countries noted that they were very pleased with the successful meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs, trade and transport of Uzbekistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan in Tashkent in early August. The importance of continuing practical cooperation in this format was noted.
They also exchanged views on issues of cooperation within international and regional structures, including the Organization of Turkic States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which are being held in Konya, Turkey, in which Uzbek athletes are successfully participating, were organized at a high level.
"The telephone conversation between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkey took place in a cordial and friendly spirit as usual," the report said.
