A criminal case was opened against the prisoner who chased the police officer with a knife in Tashkent

A criminal case was opened against the convict and others who threatened the IIB prevention inspectors with a knife in Yangihayat district of Tashkent. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, informed about this.

"In Yangihayat district, a criminal case has been initiated against the convict who threatened the IIB prevention inspectors with a knife and others under Article 219, Part 2 (Resistance to a representative of the authorities or a person performing his civic duty) of the Criminal Code," said Shamsutdinov.

It is noted that investigation is underway.

We remind you that on August 13, at 11:00 p.m., two preventive inspectors of Yangihayot district IIB, who were on night duty, went to one of the apartments. When they arrived at the apartment, the 35-year-old prisoner, who was registered with the probation service, was having a drunken fight with his wife, and the staff tried to calm him down.

However, the prisoner actively resisted them, and his wife and mother intervened in this process, and the prevention inspectors tore his uniform. At that time, the prisoner took out a kitchen knife from his house, cut the wrists of both hands, injured himself, and threatened the preventive inspectors with a knife and chased him.
