JoSAA Counselling 2020

Joint Seat Allocation Authority is responsible for conducting the counselling for 23 IITs, 31 NITs. 25 IIITs and 25 GFTIs. The applicant, who qualify the JEE Main and Advanced will be able to attend the counselling of JoSAA. This is to be noted that all the events of the JoSAA Counselling will be conducted on the scheduled dates. The candidates should make sure that they are updated with the complete schedule. The counselling will include 7 rounds. The applicant will have to attend all the 7 rounds of the counselling. Before the candidate registers for the counselling, he/ she must run an eye upon the eligibility criteria. Any ineligible candidate will not be able to attend the counselling session. JoSAA Counselling Important Dates

The candidates, who qualify the test of JEE Main and Advanced will have to be sure to be updated with all the dates of JoSAA Counselling. JoSAA Counselling Rounds

There are many rounds in which the counselling of JoSAA is conducted. The candidate will have to make sure that he/ she is completing all the rounds of JoSAA Counselling. All the rounds of the counselling are mentioned in the points below:

• First and the foremost step is the registration. Without completing this step, the candidates will not be able to continue with the further procedure. The registration can be done by filling all the mandatory details.
• The next step is the choice filling. In this step, the candidate will have to fill the choices of the preferred colleges and specialization.
• Further step is the locking of choices. This step will allow the candidate to lock the choices they have opted for in the last step. Post the choice locking, print the same for future purposes.

JoSAA Mock Allotment

After the completion of all the steps of the counselling, the authority will conduct the mock allotment. This step is conducted before the actual seat allotment. In this procedure, the candidates come to know about their allotments on the basis of their rank as well as the preferences.

JoSAA Seat Allotment

The next step is the actual seat allotment. In this procedure, the candidates will be allotted colleges/ courses on the basis of their choices etc.

JoSAA Counselling Document Verification

In the next step, the candidates will have to get their documents verified. Without completing this step, no one will be able to proceed to the further procedure. This procedure will be held in an online mode.
