David Silva was born on January 8, 1986 in Arguineguín , Mogán, Gran Canaria, Spain.
Son of Fernando Jiménez, former municipal police, and Eva Silva, of Japanese descent. He had two brothers, Natalia and Nano.
Given his passion for soccer, he neglected his studies, Physical and Social Education were his favorite subjects and Mathematics the least. When he was just five years old he was a ball boy in the field of his town, one day they broke his arm with a ball. His first footballing experiences began with the UD San Fernando team from Benjamin , since there was no team in that category in his town. When Valencia CF was 14 years old
he incorporated him into his lower categories, he settled without his family in the capital of Turia , remaining until 17 years old, he obtained the title of the Spanish cadet championship.
He was loaned to SD Eibar in the 2004/05 season after passing through Valencia Mestalla , a Valencia team, they finished fourth in the Second Division, where he scored five goals.
The following season was loaned to the RC Celta de Vigo in the first division, making debut in the maximum Spanish category against Málaga CF .
Valencia FC
After a good campaign at the Vigo club, he returned to the Valencian team in the 2006/07 season, joining the first squad. He stood out for being a great assistant, sharing attack with David Villa and Fernando Morientes . In the following year, despite the club going through a delicate situation after the dismissal of two coaches and the resignation of President Juan Bautista Soler , Silva won the Copa del Rey winning Getafe CF in the final by three to one. In 2008, he suffered a significant injury to his left ankle, from which he had to undergo surgery, keeping him away from the playgrounds for three months.
Manchester City FC
In June 2010, Manchester City FC took over the Canary Islands for more than 30 million euros, in which the attacking midfielder would receive more than 190,000 euros per week and a contract duration of four years. His first year at the citizen club, he finished third in the Premier League and reaped the FA Cup title . The following summer he lost the Community Shield final against Manchester United , that same season he won his first Premier League, scoring 6 goals and 15 assists. National selection
After being part of the Spanish teams in the sub-17 and sub-19 categories, with whom he won a European in 2004, David Silva was called for the first time with the national team by Luis Aragonés in a friendly match against Romania on 15 November 2006. He was part of the Spanish teams that won the Euro Cups in 2008 and 2012 and the first FIFA World Cup , played in South Africa in 2010, in the country's history. Despite dedicating himself to football, he was also a member of one of the most luxurious and largest beach clubs in Europe located in Gran Canaria, with an investment of around 6 million euros. He became a real estate developer of exclusive homes.
He was ruled out by Real Madrid CF for his short stature.
