1.       Open the Google account sign-in page.

2.       Now, enter your email id.

3.       Now, click on the “Forgot Password” option.

4.       Now, Google asks you to enter the last password that you can remember that you used for the same account. If you remember one, enter that here else click on “Try another way” and then click on “Next”.

5.       When you choose” Try another way” on the next screen you are asked to enter a recovery email address. This is an alternate email address where Google will send you a verification code. This alternate account should already be added to this Google account. Enter the alternate email id and click on “Send”.

6.       Now, you can open your alternate email and check your inbox. You have got the verification code from Google. Use this verification code in the text box on your screen.

7.       Now you can create a new password.

What if you don’t remember alternate email id or you no longer use that email id and so you cannot access it or you did not add an email id to this Google account at all? Don’t worry if you added a phone number to your Google account you can still recover your Google account easily. You must add email id and/or phone number to your Google account for account recovery and other purposes later on. Now, how to recover Google account using phone number? You can follow the below steps to do that:

1.       Follow the same steps up to step 4 as mentioned above.

2.       Now, in the next step where you are asked to enter email id to receive verification code you need to click again on “Try another way” because you don’t have an email id added or you forgot it.

3.       Now, when you click on Next you are asked to enter phone number added to this Google account. You can enter your phone number where Google will send you the verification code.

4.       You can check Message inbox in your mobile and see the veriifation code from Google.

5.       Now, you need to enter this code in the text box showing on your screen of Google page.

6.       Now you can create a new password here.
