Machine Learning Engineer
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our cross-functional team building cutting-edge AI solutions for customer support. You will configure and develop GenAI applications using modern frameworks, bringing ML expertise to create intelligent systems that serve millions of customer interactions monthly.
- Design and implement GenAI solutions from business analysis to A/B testing in production, solving real customer problems
- Develop new GenAI applications and enhance our existing chatbot (1M+ monthly requests) and upcoming support agent copilot.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels - from senior management to support specialists - to achieve business goals.
- Configure LLM applications using LangChain/LangGraph frameworks with a focus on quality and scalability
- Build intelligent algorithms for copilot timing optimisation using time series analysis to determine optimal moments for suggestions.
- Use genetic algorithms to identify the best solutions.
- Create recommendation systems for personalised support suggestions based on agent behaviour and customer context.
- Evaluate and optimise chatbot performance using statistical methods and ML metrics.
- Stay current with GenAI trends and best practices to continually improve our solutions.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence
- 3+ years in ML/AI development with a strong statistical background
- 1+ year hands-on GenAI/LLM application development experience
- Strong programming skills, proficiency in Python and ML libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
- ML evaluation metrics and classification task assessment
- Experience with LangChain or similar LLM frameworks
- Understanding of transformer architectures and prompt engineering
- Genetic algorithms or evolutionary optimisation experience
- Predictive modelling and anomaly detection skills
- Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholder interaction
- Self-directed problem solver comfortable with ambiguity
- Open to feedback and collaborative improvement
- LangGraph experience for building agentic applications
- Production experience with OpenAI, Claude, or similar APIs
- Recommendation systems development (collaborative/content-based filtering)
- Vector database implementation (PG-vector, Chroma, Weaviate)
- Customer support or conversational AI domain knowledge
- Experience with A/B testing and experiment design
