Middle Rust Engineer
Merge Tech is a digital assets trading firm. We build state-of-the-art trading strategies to bring efficiency and liquidity into the market. Merge Tech was founded by the team behind one of the biggest Ethereum Mining Pools that produced around 3% of the blockchain blocks at the moment of the Merge hardfork.
We’re looking for a Rust Engineer to build and improve a proprietary trading platform that optimizes performance and efficiency. You'll have the opportunity to foster growth and directly impact trading by enhancing various aspects of the trading platform, data infrastructure, and associated software.
- Develop efficient and well-tested Rust code
- Learn and implement performance optimization techniques
- Collaborate with team members on technical solutions
- Take initiative in solving problems and meeting project goals
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Strong foundation in Rust programming
- Basic understanding of network protocols, particularly UDP
- Working knowledge of blockchain technology fundamentals
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency exchange concepts (DEX and CEX)
- Basic understanding of system performance and optimization
- Interest in learning about EVM and blockchain infrastructure
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Base salary: $3,500-6,000/month
- Remote, full-time
- 20 days of annual leave + 10 days of holidays
