We are ENDGAME
We’re hiring a Technical Lead to drive the development of a new core banking platform for a fintech startup operating as an Authorised Payment Institution in the UK. You will lead architecture and execution in a fullstack JavaScript environment, balancing delivery speed with long-term quality.
YOU WILL
- Define and evolve system architecture for a microservice-based platform
- Lead a cross-functional engineering team and manage technical delivery
- Stay hands-on: contribute production-quality code and unblock others
- Maintain high standards of performance, security, and maintainability
- Represent technical priorities in discussions with stakeholders
- Continuously improve tools, processes, and team practices
ABOUT YOU
- 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on
- JS/TypeScript/Node.js
- 4+ years of experience leading development teams
- Advanced knowledge of Node.js backend development
- Expert-level React and Next.js experience
- Strong understanding of TypeScript and modern JavaScript features
- Experience with PostgreSQL and database optimization
- Proficiency with GCP or equivalent cloud platforms
- Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization
- Proven track record of leading teams, making architectural decisions, and delivering complex projects
- Based in the UK or Europe (CET ±2)
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with real-time data processing and WebSocket implementations
- Knowledge of payment processing systems and financial regulations
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Background in agile methodologies and team leadership
