Update 0.39 — Dangerous Locations, Citadel, Shop, and New Skills

Greetings, adventurers! Tony here ⚡

Update 0.39 is one of our biggest updates in a while. We are opening PvP on Dangerous Locations, introducing the Guild Citadel, adding power sync between worlds, updating the shop, and adding two new skills for every class. Let’s take a look at what’s inside!

In short:

  • ⚔️ PvP on Dangerous Locations: a new resource, new activities, and unique rewards in a special shop.
  • 🏰 Guild Citadel: Storage, Arsenal, and Catacombs — new buildings with new bonuses.
  • 🔄 World Power Sync: move between worlds with your progress synced across them.
  • 🛍 Shop update: a new VIP Shop, bundles, prices, and the ability to pay with international cards.
  • 🛡 Armory expansion: you can now unlock the 3rd and 4th gear sets.
  • 🔮 New skills: every class received 2 new skills.
  • 👑 Squad Leader: shared gear enhancement and a Hike reward bonus.
  • 💎 Ancient Treasure Event

⚔️ PvP Activities on Dangerous Locations

Existing Dangerous Locations now have a new PvP activity. These locations already had open PvP; now they also have a new loop: collect Clumps of Rage from monsters and players, convert them into Crystals of Wrath at altars, and spend Crystals of Wrath in the location’s internal shop. At the same time, players compete for a place on the “Warriors of Wrath” leaderboard.

How it works:

  • Clumps of Rage and Crystals of Wrath:
    • Monsters drop Clumps of Rage (each monster type has its own reward value):
  • At altars, Clumps of Rage are converted into Crystals of Wrath: 30 Clumps → 1 Crystal of Wrath (limit: 9,000 Clumps per activation).
  • Altars: there are always 2 active highlighted altars on the map. Ritual timer: 20 sec + 20 sec for each party ally on the same cell. You are vulnerable during the ritual.
  • When you kill a player, you take 50% of their accumulated Clumps (Crystals of Wrath do not drop).
  • Clumps of Rage reset every day at 00:00; Crystals of Wrath reset on the 1st day of each month.

Lobby Shop: purchases use Crystals of Wrath. The number of purchases per item is limited; limits reset on the 1st day of each month.

Dangerous Location and reward changes:

  • Number of events: ×1.5.
  • Chests: ×2 reward.
  • Lost Cargo: ×2 opening time, ×2 reward.
  • Goblin: all allies in the same party receive the full reward.
  • Basement: remains available for other players to enter until the event ends.
    • ×2 reward.
  • Champions: ×2 spawn chance.
  • Guild Experience and Guild Tokens: ×2 reward.
  • Hunters Leaderboard: ×2 points.
  • Monster count: 1–3 per cell.
  • Hives: special cells with a significantly increased number of monsters (4–6).
  • Enhanced monster stats:
    • Damage: +15%
    • Health: +30%
    • Other stats: +20%

🏰 Guild Citadel

Guilds receive their own development hub: the Citadel, the guild’s main building. It unlocks access to other buildings and defines their maximum level. The Citadel is built and upgraded using Guild Tokens and Composites (II), has its own level, and has an activity state (built / active / inactive).

This iteration includes 4 available buildings:

  • 🏛️ Citadel — the central building; unlocks access to the others and limits their level.
  • 📦 Guild Storage — shared storage; reduces the fee for transferring items and currency inside the guild.
  • ⚔️ Guild Arsenal — guild gear storage; its level determines the number of slots.
  • 💀 Guild Catacombs — access to guild dungeons (with weekly progress) and a bonus to their completion rewards.

Level requirements

  • At the moment, the maximum Citadel level is 2. No building can have a level higher than the Citadel’s level.
  • Citadel Lv. 1 unlocks at guild Lv. 3, Lv. 2 unlocks at guild Lv. 5, and each following level unlocks every +5 guild levels.
  • Levels do not increase automatically: the guild starts each upgrade by spending resources. There is no separate construction timer if enough resources are available.

Construction and upgrade costs

In the current iteration, each building is available up to level 2:

Daily upkeep

In addition to construction, the Citadel and every constructed building require daily upkeep in Guild Tokens:

  • Upkeep is charged every day at 00:00 UTC; the cost depends on Citadel level, building levels, and active boosts.
  • If there are enough Tokens, the Citadel remains active. If not, it becomes inactive, and its functions are blocked until it is reactivated.
  • Debt does not accumulate: the reactivation cost does not grow over time, and levels, buildings, and progress are not lost.

Building boost mode

Each building can be switched into boosted mode, which increases its bonus by ×2:

  • Boosting is available only while the Citadel is active.
  • One day of upkeep in boosted mode costs ×3 of that building’s normal upkeep.
  • To activate it, you must pay for 3 days of boosted upkeep immediately; the next scheduled charge will still happen at 00:00 UTC.
  • If the boost turns off due to a lack of Tokens, reactivation again requires payment for 3 days.

Building bonuses

  • 📦 Storage — reduces the fee for transferring items and currency inside the guild (to the guild, from the guild, and between members). Boosting doubles the discount.
  • ⚔️ Arsenal — sets the number of guild gear slots: 20 slots at Lv. 1, 40 at Lv. 2 (+20 per level). Boosting doubles the slot limit. Items above the limit add extra upkeep: 10 Tokens per slot per day.
  • 💀 Catacombs — unlock guild dungeons and increase their completion rewards by +10% per level (+10% at Lv. 1, +20% at Lv. 2). Boosting doubles the bonus.

Important to know:

  • Until the Citadel is built, buildings are unavailable. After the update, players will receive a 1-month grace period — a temporary measure to let guilds collect resources and build the necessary buildings.
  • An inactive building does not provide its bonuses, and its related feature is blocked until activity is restored.
  • The main currency for construction and upkeep is the Guild Token (earned from Location Keepers, the World Boss, guild dungeons, and donations).

Rewards and resource acquisition

The main guild resources now come from activities where the guild itself participates. Guild Experience goes toward guild level progress, while Guild Tokens are the currency for construction, upkeep, and opening guild activities. Values are listed per event participant.

  • Location Keepers — an open-world source of progress:
    • Guild Experience: 500 × World Tier.
    • Guild Tokens: 25 × World Tier.
    • Only the party that dealt the most damage receives the reward; maximum 6 players.
    • On Dangerous Locations, Guild Experience is doubled.
  • World Boss — a rare large-scale event with increased rewards:
    • For participation: Guild Experience 500 × World Tier, Guild Tokens 25 × World Tier.
    • For victory: Guild Experience 1,500 × World Tier, Guild Tokens 75 × World Tier.
  • Group Dungeons — grant Guild Experience: 500 × World Tier for each token run, if the party includes members of the same guild.
  • Monsters defeated in a party with a guildmate — a social background source of experience:
    • Guild Experience: World Tier per monster, if there is a living member of your guild in your party within visibility range.
    • Daily limit: 350 × World Tier; on Dangerous Locations, the limit is doubled.
  • Guild Dungeons — the main new source of Guild Tokens after the Catacombs are built:
    • Guild Experience: 2,500 × World Tier × (0.8 + dungeon level × 0.2).
    • Guild Tokens: 125 × World Tier.

🔄 World Power Sync

You can now freely move to lower worlds: your power automatically adjusts to that world’s limits, while your real progress is preserved.

  • Character level, skills, and attributes are lowered to the world limits, but never above your real values (the lower value is used).
  • Attribute allocation is independent for each world: you can configure a character differently for each world.
  • Removed gear is not lost: when you return to a higher world, everything becomes available again.
  • Skills with the “Global” flag work at full level in any world.
  • Skills locked by world are not removed; they are dimmed with a world level icon.
  • The first time you move down to a lower world, we will show a tutorial (with a “do not show again” checkbox).

👑 Squad Leader — Shared Gear Enhancement and Hike Bonus

You can now assign a Squad Leader in the Hall of Heroes separately for each world. The enhancement level of their gear is shared with the other characters on the account in that world, and the total gear enhancement of Squad Leaders additionally affects Hike rewards.

How shared enhancement works:

  • For each slot, the enhancement level of the item equipped by the Squad Leader is used.
  • Other characters in that world receive a slot level 3 levels lower than the Leader’s (if the result is 0 or lower, the bonus does not apply).
  • Only the slot enhancement level is shared: no items, base stats, magic properties, smelting, gems, or unique bonuses are transferred.
  • If a character’s own item enhancement level is higher than the shared one, their own value is used.
  • Only items from the same world are included; recalculation happens immediately after the Leader changes gear.
  • Example: the Leader’s weapon is enhanced to +9 → other characters in that world receive shared weapon enhancement +6.

Hike bonus:

  • The enhancement levels of the current gear of all Squad Leaders across all worlds are summed.
  • Each enhancement level gives +1% to Hike rewards (this bonus uses the full enhancement level, without the -3 reduction).
  • Hike rewards are now affected not only by the Hunter’s Hut, but also by the total gear enhancement of Squad Leaders.
  • Changing the Squad Leader is free and unlimited.

🗡️ Armory Expansion: 3rd and 4th Sets

You can now unlock the 3rd and 4th gear sets using a new item — Constellation Knot.

  • Unlock cost: 10 Constellation Knots for the 3rd set and 25 for the 4th (the 4th is available only after the 3rd). Unlocks are permanent.
  • The more sets you have unlocked, the shorter the set-swap cooldown: unlocking the 3rd set reduces the cooldown by 50%, and the 4th by 80%.
  • Sets are available in all worlds, but hotbar and gear setups are separate for each world.
  • Where to get Constellation Knot: it can be obtained from the Ancient Chest and in the new VIP Shop.
  • Set numbering has been fixed: it is now 1-2-3-4 instead of the old 1-3-4-5.

✨ New Class Skills

Every class in the game received 2 new skills:

⚔️ Warrior

  • Crippling Whirlwind — deals physical damage to nearby enemies and slows them.

    • Magic Shards ×500
    • Scrap ×5,000
    • Craft Token (Bound) ×25

Dungeons and Locations

  • 🏚️ Basements: different final discoveries. Instead of the same ending every time, one of three options now appears: lectern — 50%, Epic Chest — 25%, Lost Cargo — 25%.
    • Epic Chest and Lost Cargo receive a ×1.5 reward multiplier.
    • Random events on intermediate cells are no longer generated.
  • 👺 Goblins now appear starting from location level 26 (previously 16). Goblins no longer appear on locations level 16–25.
  • The level of the Ant Queen and monsters in the Poison Hive has been reduced.
  • The level of the Darkness Servant and the damage of AoE skills in the Temple of Darkness in the first world have been reduced.
  • The level of the Necromancer and champions in the first guild dungeon has been reduced.
  • The currency used to open guild dungeons has changed. Activation now requires Guild Tokens: (200 + 600 × L) × 2^World Tier, where L is the dungeon difficulty level.
  • The full reward for successfully completing a guild dungeon is given to every player who was inside the dungeon at the moment of completion:
    • Base boss reward — received by each participant who was alive and within visibility range when the boss died.
      • ×1 Grand Ancient Chest by World Tier.
      • Awakening Essence +1 (Bound): 35 × World Tier × (0.8 + dungeon level × 0.2).
      • Enhancement Crystal: 20 × World Tier × (0.8 + dungeon level × 0.2).
      • Master's Chest: 25 × World Tier × (0.8 + dungeon level × 0.2).
      • Guild Experience: 2,500 × World Tier × (0.8 + dungeon level × 0.2).
      • Hiking Torch: 10 × World Tier × (0.8 + dungeon level × 0.2).
      • Silver: 1,000,000 × World Tier × (0.8 + dungeon level × 0.2).
    • Rewards are no longer issued to the guild itself.

Party Reward Distribution and VIP Bonuses

  • In a party, the winner is considered to be the party, not a single player, if its members dealt more total damage than any solo player.
  • The reward is shared only among party members who can see the player who earned the reward: if a party member is within your visibility range, they share with you; if you cannot see them, their share does not reach you.
  • VIP bonuses to experience, silver, and item drop chance work as a party bonus: partyBonus = sum of VIP bonuses of visible participants / 10.
  • For the VIP bonus, you do not need to stand on the same cell: it is enough for a party member to be within visibility range. Offline players are not counted.
  • The guild bonus in a party is calculated separately: if, at the moment of reward, you can see a living guildmate from your party, you receive bonus Guild Experience; on Dangerous Locations, this bonus is doubled.

Gear and Economy

  • ⚒️ Smelting ancient properties. Smelting now has a separate action: convert one magic property on an item into an ancient property (for items whose properties are already at maximum quality). The price in Ancient Shards depends on the number of existing ancient properties, item type, and item level.
  • ⛲ The Fountain received a new blessing: Banner of Victory (Guardian skill). Silver activation cost increased: 150,000 → 250,000.
  • 📅 Auto-opening for the 7th-day login chest. Previously, the Ancient Chest granted for day 7 of the 7-day bonus had to be opened separately. Now, when you tap it, it opens immediately — the reward drops without an extra opening step.
  • 🎁 Ancient Chest. The contents of the Ancient Chest have been updated:

Guaranteed reward for 100 openings: ×1 Random Perfect Gear Item with 1 Ancient Prop from this world

Interface, Shop, and Account Linking

  • 🧥 Appearance Wardrobe. The appearance wardrobe has been fully updated to make browsing skins more convenient.
  • 🛒 Shop. The shop visuals have been updated, and its contents have also been refreshed: new offer types have been added — daily, weekly, and special.
    • Support for the international payment system Xsolla has been added.
    • In the browser version of the game, you receive an additional Gold bonus with every purchase.
  • A new VIP Shop with a limited quantity of items. Limits refresh once a month. Purchasing items requires a specific active VIP Status level.
  • 🔐 Social login. The English client now supports logging in and linking accounts via X (formerly Twitter), Discord, and Google to preserve progress.
  • Unlinking connected accounts. You can now unlink any connected social account and link another one. For security reasons, the procedure takes 7 days.
  • Discord. You can now launch the game directly in Discord. To continue playing with an existing account, be sure to link your Discord account first, and only then launch the game there. Otherwise, you will have to unlink the account and wait 7 days.

Fixes

  • 🐞 Assassin in dungeons. Fixed a bug where, after leaving invisibility in dungeons, an Assassin could no longer be targeted.
  • Fixed the display of damage and healing animations when many events occur at once.
  • And other gameplay improvements and fixes.
