Battle Pass Review: Cube Season

Greetings, dear readers!

In this review, we'll take a look at the new Battle Pass, Cube Season. It runs from June 10 to July 14. And this might just be the boldest and most unusual season in the game’s history! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves — let’s go step by step.

Overview and Rewards

This season is a parody of Minecraft, bringing its familiar visuals into MadOut2 in a fun and quirky way.

By purchasing either the Premium or Premium Plus tiers and leveling the pass up to level 50, you can earn:

  • The Iron Crown car and two exclusive skins for it
  • Skins for the M4A1 and Desert Eagle
  • 4 parody Minecraft-style costumes (2 each for male and female characters)
  • Five unique spawnable items
  • 875,000 coins
  • 760 diamonds
  • 375 auto parts
  • 60 silver and 205 gold hammers
  • 15 blue, 8 red, and 1 bonus containers

Yes, this is the most content-rich season ever!

With the Standard Pass, you’ll receive:
125,000 coins, 60 diamonds, 80 silver and 40 gold hammers, 15 blue containers, 1 bonus container, and 70 auto parts. And quite unexpectedly — a Fork lift and a Bella tractor for courier work.

While the free content isn't vast, getting vehicles for free is a huge win, especially for newer players.

Iron Crown Car: Mini Review

Developers have been bringing back iconic cars with each season, and this one is no exception.

The Iron Crown is a classic American 1980s car, widely used and seen in many films from that era.
It has a unique boxy, rugged design and larger-than-average dimensions for a sedan — making it stand out in the game’s vehicle lineup.

The model is crafted with attention to detail, especially its well-designed interior.

As is tradition, the car has two seasonal skins, and they're incredibly well-made! These skins capture the humorous spirit of the season and are filled with references. Even the exhaust and trunk have fun design details that you’ll want to stare at endlessly.

The car handles typically for its size and feels right in the context of an '80s American ride.

However, the vehicle’s stats are its major downside. They're notably worse than other Epic-rarity cars from previous seasons.

It would seem that upgrade should save the situation. According to the values in the menu, it seems to be so. But let's not jump to conclusions, further tests will show everything.

Speed Tests:

Stock:

  • Top speed (no nitro): 174 km/h
  • Top speed (with nitro): 182 km/h
  • 0–100 km/h (no nitro): 2.4s
  • 0–100 km/h (with nitro): 1.29s
  • Time to top speed (no nitro): 14.03s
  • Time to top speed (with nitro): 5.35s

Half upgraded (3 pafts for speed):

  • Top speed (no nitro): 195 km/h
  • Top speed (with nitro): 251 km/h
  • 0–100 km/h (no nitro): 2.25s
  • 0–100 km/h (with nitro): 1.25s
  • Time to top speed (no nitro): 15.33s
  • Time to top speed (with nitro): 12.31s

Fully upgraded (all parts for speed):

  • Top speed (no nitro): 194 km/h
  • Top speed (with nitro): 271 km/h
  • 0–100 km/h (no nitro): 2.26s
  • 0–100 km/h (with nitro): 1.21s
  • Time to top speed (no nitro): 15.36s
  • Time to top speed (with nitro): 16.2s

The max speed without nitro is very different from the values in the menu. Surprisingly, the fully upgraded car barely improves over partial upgrades, making full upgrades pointless.

In addition to speed, the car also has a couple of nasty bugs:

1. Some vinyl placements cause visual glitches on the car body, which limits custom skin options. (Though abstract art fans might enjoy it!)

2. The underside and wheel arches lack proper textures — a visual flaw.

‼️The devs are aware of these bugs and plan to fix them soon, so no need to worry too much.

Summary:
Despite its charm and retro vibe, the car’s weak performance limits its everyday use. Still, it’s great for roleplay, screenshots, and themed content.

Outfits

These outfits are a playful DIY cosplay of Minecraft characters — made from painted cardboard boxes stuffed with soft materials. They’re silly and creative in the best way.

They're the largest costumes in the game but don’t break any animations — everything fits the characters well.

For the first time, they are available for both male and female characters. So you’re not getting duplicate skins — a welcome innovation this season!

Weapon skins

There aren’t many, but they’re high quality and on-theme:

  • "Golden Shine" for M4A1 – A luxurious gold-themed skin with unique styling.
  • "On the Surface" for Desert Eagle – A fun reference to Minecraft’s multiple dimensions.

Both are well-fitted to the weapons and match the season’s humorous tone.

Spawn Items

This season includes 5 unique spawnable items — a new record!

They’re inspired by recognizable blocks and objects from Minecraft, opening tons of creative possibilities for builds, pranks, and fun scenes. Even outside of this season, they’ll be very useful for creative players.

Final Thoughts

This is hands down the boldest, most unique, and creative Battle Pass ever.

Yes, it may come off as weird, unserious, or even cringey to some. But honestly, it was clearly made for laughs and fun — and it succeeds at that brilliantly. It’s a hilarious parody executed to near perfection.

Everything is full of humor and personality. And even if the featured car has issues, the outfits, skins, and items alone make this season worth experiencing!
