Iran visa on arrival requirements

To obtain Iran VOA, you have to have a valid passport with at least 6 month validity, visa fee in cash, your travel/medical insurance and a photo to be attached to your visa application form. Although visa officers use a digital camera and it won’t be a problem if you don’t have your photo with you, but if you have it prepared it can make the progress faster. Female travelers picture should be with Hijab.

On the border of Iran, you will be asked if you already have Iran visa or want to get a VOA. In case of VOA, you have to tell your nationality and fill up an application form. You pay your visa fee in cash and then deliver your receipt, passport and application form and to the visa officer and wait till they call your name. The process can take between 20 minutes to 2 hours, when your turn comes they will call your name and return your passport with your visa on it. Your visa has validity till 30 days after the date of your arrival.
