Simple and Delicious 10 Minute Makhana Kheer Recipe

Shivratri is very dear to my heart. I started fasting on Shivratri when I was in school, not even knowing why it is celebrated. I just wanted to be in the "fast" group :-p and enjoy all the yummy fasting my mom has prepared. I still remember when we used to visit different temples and then come back home to enjoy all the fariyali khana like sabudana khichdi, sabudana vada etc. Later, I think I continued fasting in February - March was the months of preparation on the final exam every year :-P So, to butterify God (maska to) God before I take exams was another good reason :-) When I was in college I learned that girls stay fat so fast and Monday to get a good husband like Shiva: Maybe it's true because in my case I'm not complaining :-P Anyway, I'm still going to fast every year on this auspicious day.Even now that I've been living in Canada for the past few years, I make sure to do pooja and milk / honey / curd / water and some white flowers to Shivling. Although, I don't make fariyali food these days but eat strictly fruits or nothing at all.
