In order for everyone to fully benefit from this gathering of people united by the same mindset we insist the following Do's and dont's are strictly adhered to:

communicate in English - please respect foreign participants; if you have a question, idea, or event announcement - translate it to English first;

feel free to offer or organize indoor or outdoor activities that Astana has plenty of opportunities to offer;

share your inquiries, concerns, advice, and findings about local cultural/historical/logistical aspects of life (excluding those that are driven by personal commercial benefits);

check with group admins when in doubt about whether your ideas are in line with the rules prior to sharing them with the group.

no commercial ads of any kind are allowed for posting unless approved by the group admins. We'll issue a warning for the first time, with related post(s) being deleted. Repeated violations with be followed by member restrictions (muting, bans, deletion from the group);

no personal ads of any kind are allowed unless related to CS events or other events where group members can get together (e.g. ads for renting apartments, looking for flatmates, rental/letting any equipment, products, etc.);

owners of duplicate accounts will be removed when discovered;

no messages discriminating against other members from political, religious/non-religious, gender, or ethnic aspects are tolerated here. Those in violation of this rule will be restricted at the discretion of the admins.

If you host someone based on a request from a chat member outside of the CS platform, we do not accept any responsibility for the consequences whether they are good or bad. This is why we insist that all hosting-related requests are processed on the CS platform only. You can report any safety concerns to the official CS community only in case everything is processed correctly (via the CS app or website).

If you notice any harassment, feel uncomfortable, or are not safe in this group for any reason, please, don’t hesitate to write directly to the admins (@mangomarakuyya, @wwwpwwwm, @pycarrot2. Warn participants in advance about paid events and age restrictions.

Admins facilitate communication and coordination of the community and are not responsible for public events and actions of other members.
