Why domain names are paid?

Domain names are created by ICANN . This is the organization that is responsible for all domain names. ICANN does not work directly with registrants. Instead, ICANN transfers domain name registration rights to select companies that must meet certain criteria. These companies are known as ICANN-accredited registrars. For example, one of these companies is Enom. These companies can work directly with registrants, but often transfer domain name registration rights to many different companies. These companies are simply called registrars. For example, one such company, ICDSoft, when a domain name registration request is created, the Registrar that the request is made for transmits the request to an ICANN-accredited Registrar, and the ICANN-accredited Registrar, in turn, transmits the request to ICANN. This is how domain names are created.
