4 tools to create your own logo
Hey, guys! Welcome to my blog. I want to share my entrepreneurial journey with all of you. For my first blog, I wanted to share the tools I have used to experiment and ultimately design the logo for MTE. Here they go in no particular order.
This tool is brand new and absolutely free. There is not much to it and really easy to use. Simply find a logo template you like on the homepage (left bar) and click to bring it up on the canvas. You can also create a logo from scratch but that takes a bit of knack for design. You can also find templates based on an industry like accounting, food & drink or travel.
Adobe Illustrator is the original tool when it comes to logos and it is by far the most powerful tool you can use. If you don't mind paying their subscription fee and willing to put in some time you can create just about anything. Every logo you create will be in vector format and you can scale it to any size and produce tons of file types.
Gravit Designer is a full vector editing software like adobe but it is much easier to use. The features are not quite as powerful but also much easier to learn. They offer a free (limited) version and the pro upgrade costs $49.99 per year. It is well worth it since you can design much more than just your logo.
If you are the creative type and intend to draw your logo by hand, Inkscape is for you. It is a freehand drawing tool that generates vector files that are ideal for logos. It is a software that you will need to download so you cannot create your logo in your web browser like you can with the other tools. I found this one a bit too challenging but worth a try!
