Toyota Fortuner Review: Elegant and Tough SUV

Since its introduction in 2005, the Toyota Fortuner has become one of the best SUV choices in Indonesia. The latest Fortuner car is equipped with a tough and macho design, the ability to bulldoze all-terrain, and the practicality of a typical 7-seater car.

Exterior

Adhering to the concept of "Stylish and Confidence", in general, the Fortuner interior design of the second generation Toyota Fortuner looks much classier than its predecessor. Starting from the front, the grille design looks very sturdy with three horizontal lines that look very firm, which is combined with a chrome finish (or glossy black with the TRD Sportivo bodykit).

The grille on the Toyota Fortuner is flanked by a pair of headlights that are made narrower, and comes with Bi-Beam Hi Tech LED Projector technology that provides better lighting when driving. Dropping down, the bumper design looks very aggressive and contains chrome accents that adorn the fog lamp housing, plus a lower air intake that is large enough to support the engine cooling system.

Turning to the side, it looks like the second generation Toyota Fortuner has a more elongated design. Obviously, the difference in the length of the two models is up to 90mm, apart from being longer, the curvature of the second generation Fortuner body also looks more aerodynamic.

Going inside, the impression of luxury immediately radiates into the interior of the Toyota Fortuner with a combination of wood accents and piano black on the dashboard, center console and door trim. This luxury is further supported by the use of leather material with original stitches, which gives a premium impression. The entertainment element in the cabin is also accommodated with an 8-inch touch screen head unit that can play MP3, radio, USB, DVD, and Miracast, as well as a digital AC setting with auto climate control feature.

It turns out that increasing the length of the car does not have much effect on the relief of the third row, it can still be occupied by adult passengers, but it is somewhat less ideal for long trips, especially for those who have a height of more than 165 cm where the leg room and head room provided are quite limited. If not in use, you can fold the third seat sideways to increase the luggage capacity.
