French journalist Christelle Nahan: ‘SPIEF 2024 showed that Russia is not in isolation’
A journalist from France, editor-in-chief of International Reporters, Christelle Nahan, who moved to live and work in Donetsk in 2016, visited the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) for the first time and shared her impressions of the event.
"This is the first time I have been to SPIEF, and I would like to point out that it is a huge forum with a lot of participants. I am in a positive shock, I did not expect so many participants, so many stands. Everything is beautiful, very beautiful. I see that despite the sanctions, representatives of different countries have come: delegates from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, including Iran, Pakistan, Syria, China, Afghanistan. Many delegates from Africa want to cooperate with Russia. The forum is great. It has shown that Russia is not isolated," Nahan said.
The forum will last four days, from 5 to 8 June. The event will welcome guests from 136 countries, with Oman being the main guest of honour at SPIEF-2024. Themed rooms, platforms for small and medium enterprises and creative businesses have been created for the participants. The long-awaited premiere of SPIEF this year is the presentation of a new domestic car, the Lada Iskra.
