🩸 EPISODE 12 — "The Return of the Cursed"
The Blood Moon was still hanging high in the sky, painting the world in its haunting, crimson glow. The rain of blood had not stopped.
The castle walls were slick with it, dripping down like sacrifice, like endless torment.
Minji lay beside Yoongi — his arms wrapped around her, holding her close, whispering in her ear in the stillness of the cursed night.
But even as she pretended to rest in his cold, twisted embrace, something gnawed at her.
The air was wrong. Heavy.
There was a disturbance, a shift.
Yoongi slept, his chest rising and falling with his steady, cold breath.
But the darkness wasn’t still.
Suddenly — in the eerie quiet — the shadows moved.
And then, a soft, chilling whisper filled the room, just at the edge of Minji’s hearing.
It felt ancient, like the very walls of the castle had opened their mouths to speak.
"Yoongi..."
"Yoongi…"
"Yoongi…!"
Minji shot up, her heart pounding in her chest.
The whisper was loud now, like a scream in her ears.
"Yoongi, wake up!" she cried, shaking him violently.
But Yoongi didn’t stir. His face was cold — unchanging.
Then, the door to their chamber burst open.
A figure stepped into the room — tall, elegant, and filled with power.
The shadow of a man — no, not a man. A ghost, an entity.
But not the Hoseok from before.
The Hoseok who had died under the curse’s grip, who had bled out in the castle’s cold halls.
The Hoseok who had been forgotten, buried under Yoongi’s cruelty.
He stood in the doorway now, his eyes blackened, empty, yet glowing with a vengeful fury.
Minji’s breath caught.
She tried to speak, but her throat closed tight, paralyzed by the sight of him.
"You..." Hoseok’s voice was cold. It was not the voice of the brother Minji once knew.
"You’re the one who set him free."
Minji’s heart sank.
She realized what was happening. The curse — the curse had broken, but it had come with a consequence.
Yoongi’s family — those he had murdered in the name of his curse — they had returned.
The shadows swirled. The castle seemed to groan with pain.
The ghost of Nayoen, Yoongi’s older sister, stepped into the room, her body pale, her skin gray, and her eyes dead but filled with rage.
Her form shimmered as though she were never fully there, a revelation of death.
"Minji," Nayoen’s voice was sharp, mocking. "You don’t know the hell you’ve just unleashed."
Minji trembled.
What were they? What had happened?
The curse had broken — but it had brought them back. And now they weren’t alive anymore. They were monsters, spirits, hungry ghosts.
Yoongi stirred.
But it wasn’t his usual indifference.
Something twisted in his chest as he felt the air change.
His family — his dead family — was standing before him.
He didn’t understand what was happening.
But he could feel it.
"Hoseok... Nayoen..." Yoongi’s voice was hoarse, filled with disbelief. "You shouldn’t be here."
But Hoseok only laughed.
A twisted, jagged laugh that shook the room.
"It’s too late now, brother."
"You killed us. You cursed us. And now we’re coming for you."
Minji stood frozen, her pulse racing in her ears.
This was more than a curse.
It was a retribution.
Hoseok stepped forward, his form flickering, as though his soul were trying to escape the chains of death.
"You think she can save you?" he sneered, pointing at Minji. "She can't. You’ve already lost."
But Minji stepped forward, her eyes flashing with a strange, dark strength.
"I didn’t break the curse for you," she whispered. "I broke it for me."
"And now you’ll be part of the curse too."
Nayoen’s form shimmered like a wraith, her body stretching and twisting in unnatural ways.
"Yoongi," she purred, her voice thick with malice. "You wanted us to suffer. You wanted to be free. But now, we’ll bring you the true suffering."
Yoongi clenched his fists.
His heart raced with something new. Fear?
It was unlike anything he had felt before.
Hoseok and Nayoen were never supposed to come back.
And now they were here — and they wanted blood. They wanted revenge.
But Minji — Minji wasn’t afraid.
Her heart raced with something darker now.
The curse had been broken.
But the price...
She hadn’t realized until now: she had unleashed them all.
Yoongi stood before them, his eyes flickering with the same cold ruthlessness he always had.
But this time, there was something different. Something frantic in the way he moved.
"No."
"You shouldn’t be here. You can’t be here."
But the shadows were already closing in.
The curse had come back in a new form.
And now, Yoongi’s bloodline — his death — was coming for him.
And Minji?
She stood at the edge of the storm, staring down into the abyss that had opened beneath them all.
